BBG Economic Outlook 2026 Breakfast Session

We kicked off our 2026 event calendar with an insightful breakfast discussion on navigating global uncertainty and identifying the key drivers for investment in Tanzania this year.

The British Business Group Tanzania was delighted to host its first breakfast session of 2026, Economic Outlook 2026, with a strong turnout from members and guests.

The session featured valuable insights from:

  • Norbert Patrick, Head of Corporate Sales & Marketing, Standard Chartered
  • Richard Craig, Economist, British High Commission
  • Sunday John, Economist, British High Commission

The discussion covered the wider global economic backdrop, Tanzania’s current outlook, and the key factors influencing business confidence and investment. Themes included:

  • Global uncertainty;
  • Opportunities in key sectors; and
  • The importance of predictability, clarity and consistency in the operating environment.

The session provided a useful platform for members to hear both private sector and economic perspectives, ask questions, and engage in constructive discussion.

BBG extends its sincere thanks to our speakers for sharing their time and expertise, and to Sea Cliff Hotel and their team for hosting the event so well.

We look forward to continuing these conversations through future BBG sessions during the year.
